Give Gain Grow Gosport Community Group is a group aimed at reducing social isolation and to promote general wellbeing by the facilitation of community led projects in the local area for the benefit of everyone! We run a regular gardening group at our allotment space in Rowner - Gosport Community Gardeners - details of which can be found on our website or Facebook page. We are all volunteers and we can can offer volunteering opportunities for people lacking in confidence due to mental health issues, learning or physical disabilities. Our motto is: 'Supporting you... to Support Yourself'. The group was originally developed by GVA to encourage people to take part in group volunteering tasks to benefit the local community. The group have since become independent from GVA in 2017. Gosport Community Gardeners are involved with gardening and have their own allotment and meet weekly on a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon at Green Crescent. The whole group meet regularly to plan ahead and discuss new ideas for different ways to help out the local community by volunteering. The aim is to develop an individual's skills and abilities in a small group environment. Organising and participating in local fun voluntary activities and fundraising events.
