We are seeking a committed and experienced charity Treasurer Trustee to develop and oversee our financial policies, procedures and growth to ensure good governance. The Treasurer will maintain an overview of Horses for Good’s financial affairs, improve our financial viability and ensure that proper financial records and procedures are maintained, as well as being responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finances. Ideally our Treasurer will have a passion for animals, the desire to help implement a change in mental health and wellbeing and the drive to further the charitable aims of Horses for Good to enable the organisation to grow.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for someone with a recognised professional accountancy qualification, demonstrable experience of preparing budgets, forecasts and management accounts and an understanding of Charity Commission legislation and charity governance. As part of our Board you will support and shape our work and strategic direction, as well as help to grow Horses for Good to its full potential and realise our vision for the future. You will help to ensure our financial viability so that we can continue to support mental health within the local and wider community and to be able to offer a home for life for all our animals. This is a key role in our organisation. Your input will directly enhance the support and services to our beneficiaries.
