Tall Ship is proud to share the story of our maritime heritage and traditional boat building skills with the public.

As a Volunteer Tour Guide, you will welcome individuals and groups to our Heritage Workshop, guiding them through exhibitions, workshops, and displays while sharing key information about Blyth’s maritime past, the history of boat building, and the ongoing work of Blyth Tall Ship Blyth

  • Lead engaging tours of the Heritage Workshop for individuals, groups, and schools.
  • Share accurate and accessible information about Blyth’s maritime heritage, traditional boat building, and related historical themes.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors.
  • Support visitors with questions and signpost them to further information where required.
  • Work with staff and volunteers to ensure tours run smoothly and safely
  • Assist in preparing displays or materials to support the visitor experience
