To find events (both in person and online) that Disabled People in Hampshire might want to attend. These might be cultural, sporting, well-being events, in-person training or webinars, free or low-cost.

To send details about these events to our website developer so he can populate the ‘What’s On’ page of the DPV website. (There is also someone, who can proof-read the copy for the ‘What’s On’ page.)

We don’t think disability should be a barrier. We want to help build a better life for Disabled People as members of a more inclusive society.

We want people to have the support to do what makes their lives meaningful, to be connected and have friendships. We want people to contribute to their community.

  1. To respond to online enquiries.
  2. To sign-up and read e-newsletters from other disability organisations e.g. Disability Rights UK, other charities e.g. Action Hampshire and local authorities for information on events they are running or promoting. Other members of the DPV team will also send you information about events.
  3. To regularly look at Eventbrite to see if there are any events that Disabled People might like to attend.
  4. To send formatted details of any events to our website developer so he can populate the DPV ‘What’s On’ page on our website www.dpv.org.uk.
  5. To send details of the most important events to the news editor for inclusion in the DPV e-newsletter.
  6. To let the Facebook volunteer, know about any events that need to be published on our Facebook page.
