As a Volunteer Administrator you will be working alongside colleagues to support with general office duties within a small but busy office. Office duties include typing, filing, responding to telephone enquiries and other general office duties, and will have support and supervision at all times.

By becoming a volunteer administrator, you can support our services 'behind the scenes', by helping with the organisation and smooth administration of the service. You can gain valuable skills and knowledge that can enhance your personal and professional development, or bring skills from a previous role to help us run an efficient back office.

What skills do I need?

  • Organisational skills
  • Good communication skills, including communicating with people face to face, over the telephone and via email
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
  • Flexibility
  • You will be able to work under direction, but with limited supervision
  • An have an awareness of older people in the local community
  • You will have a passion for people
  • You will be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
