If so this is the role for you!

MHA Communities Hampshire West offers support and friendship to older people living independently in their own homes; helping to maintain independent living, improve well-being and reduce isolation. We are seeking volunteers with their own car to provide transport to and from our clubs/activities located in Ringwood. A volunteer driver is someone who helps residents to access the local community to attend social groups and activities. A volunteer driver also provides friendly conversation and companionship to the older person during any journey.

Please only register if you are genuinely interested. Please ask any questions in the notes section when registering your interest. We can then have a chat (we will initially telephone, so please be aware you will receive a call from an unknown mobile number, followed up with a text message and then a final email). We can complete your application (digital or paper) and finally complete your DBS check and references.

What skills do I need?

• An understanding of the needs of older people
• You will be reliable and punctual
• Flexibility
• You will have a strong driving safety awareness
• You will enjoy working with older people
