We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Volunteer to help us expand our online presence. You will play a crucial role in effectively communicating our mission, showcasing our community projects, and driving engagement to increase our supporter base.

Veterans Dementia Support UK is Hampshire based charity that supports Armed Forces Veterans who are living with dementia and their families. We also support members of the Emergency Services , Merchant Navy and the NHS who are living with dementia and their family and friends who journey with them.  We are unique in many ways.

We are a great team of volunteers - no one is paid here - who are committed to the support and wellbeing of those living with dementia.

Availability as needed and fit around your current roles.

What skills do I need?

  • Social Media Savvy: Strong working knowledge and practical experience using personal or professional social media accounts.
  • Creative Eye: A knack for storytelling, visual composition, and writing engaging captions.
  • Communication: Excellent written English skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently while aligning with the organization's goals and policies.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with or willingness to learn design and scheduling tools like Canva
  • Be able to recommend different platforms to use to get the message of the services provided out to the local and wider community website design would be a bonus but not essential

Location

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
