After a successful first year, we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help shape and grow the Green Fringe Festival for next year. The Green Fringe Festival is a celebration of nature, creativity, community and wellbeing, bringing together organisations, artists, community groups and volunteers to deliver a programme of outdoor events across Rushmoor.

As our Marketing & Communications Lead, you'll help plan and deliver the festival's marketing campaign and strategy before, during and after the event. Liaising closely with the planning team, you will help raise awareness of the festival, encourage people to attend events, and celebrate the organisations, artists, volunteers, and the precious green spaces that make the festival and our community so special.

This varied role could include:

  • Planning and scheduling social media content across multiple platforms
  • Creating graphics, videos and promotional materials using Canva or similar software
  • Writing press releases and liaising with local media
  • Producing email newsletters and campaign updates
  • Helping maintain festival webpages and event listings
  • Gathering stories, photos and videos during the festival

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop experience in marketing, communications, PR or digital media while making a real difference to the local community.

What skills do I need?

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys creating engaging content for a variety of audiences
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • An eye for detail and consistency

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

  • Social media management
  • Marketing or communications
  • PR or journalism
  • Email marketing
  • Canva or other design software
  • Photography or videography
  • Website content management
