We are looking for volunteers to join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Based at Astor House, Newbury Business Park, London Road, Newbury RG14 2PZ. Free parking available.

Astor House is the home of the National Needlework Archive. Alongside the archive the NNA has a textile collection, library and The Country Wife Textile Mural. The NNA hosts exhibitions & workshops throughout the year, relating to all aspects of needlework. We have a small shop selling donated items including fabric, yarns, embroidery threads, haberdashery & much more. There is also a small café area for visitors to enjoy.

We are currently looking for volunteers to join our small friendly team. The roles will include assisting a member of staff with some administration tasks, welcoming visitors, helping to prepare items for sale including sorting & measuring fabrics and serving customers in the café as required.

Directions: Off the A4 London Road on the opposite side to B&Q and Dunelm.

We have recently moved to larger premises in Newbury (previously at The Old Chapel Textile Centre, Greenham Business Park) and would like to increase our volunteer numbers.

What skills do I need?

Previous experience in the field of needlework is not necessary but enthusiasm, reliability, flexibility and willingness to learn is important.
