Running Volunteer Coordinator

Role Overview:

The Running Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and coordinating local runs in partnership with local sports companies. This role involves recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of running events. The coordinator will work closely with local sports companies to develop partnerships and assess their needs, generating appropriate volunteering opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

 * Volunteer Recruitment and Management: Recruit, interview, and match volunteers to appropriate roles. Ensure volunteers are adequately trained and supported.

 * Event Coordination: Plan and lead all aspects of running events, from pre-planning to post-event debrief. Manage volunteer schedules and ensure adequate volunteer attendance.

 * Partnership Development: Liaise with local sports companies to understand their needs and develop effective partnerships.

 * Training and Support: Provide inductions and training for volunteers, ensuring they are familiar with policies and procedures. Monitor and support volunteers through regular contact and structured reviews.

 * Promotion and Communication: Promote volunteering opportunities through recruitment campaigns. Maintain clear communication with volunteers and partners.

 * Policy and Procedure Development: Assist in developing volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments.

 * Problem Solving: Address any challenges that arise during events or in volunteer management.

 * Reporting and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate volunteer activities and prepare reports.
