As a Recipe Kit Builder, you will be supporting us with:

• Basic food preparation including measuring ingredients
• Packing individual ingredients ready for going into our recipe kits
• Labelling ingredients with contents and allergen information
• Building recipe kits ready for delivery, checking off all ingredients
• Labelling recipe kits with their delivery details

Each Recipe Kit Building session is roughly 2 hours and usually takes place in Westerhope

What you will need to complete to become a Recipe Kit Builder:

• Attend a training workshop with Nourish Food School

OPTIONAL:

• There are sometimes opportunities to do Food Hygiene training which would allow you to help us with some of the higher-risk ingredients (e.g. meat).
• Agree to our volunteer expectations of: aiming to volunteer on at least 4 occasions, (although there is no maximum)
• having excellent personal hygiene,
• dress appropriately, sharing our values for doing things to the highest standar

What skills do I need?

You should be able to:

• Follow instructions well to ensure we maintain exceptionally high food safety and hygiene
• Enjoy, and be good at, working within a team
• Follow instructions to ensure the venue is cleaned before, during and after the recipe kit-building sessions
