Half Term Food Prep Volunteer
Do you have a passion for cooking? Help Nourish Food School prepare food for their upcoming half term cooking classes. The volunteer role involves:
- Using a knife to cut and prepare ingredients
- Cooking large quantiies of food with an induction hob/oven/air fryer
- Packing and labelling food
- Washing and cleaning up
Half Term Cooking Class Volunteer
Do you have a passion for cooking and helping in the community? Help Nourish Food School with their upcoming half term cooking classes in South Shields and Byker.
DBS Certifcation can be obtained for anyone wanting to volunteer at our events working with children.
The volunteer role involves:
- Assisting our trainers during cooking classes with children
- Assist children in their learning
- Cleaning and washing up
- Preparing and setting up for classes (we are a mobile cooking school)

What skills do I need?
- A passion for and interest in cooking from scratch
- Lots of initiative and problem solving skills
- A super friendly and positive personality
- Experience is not necessary for any of our volunteering roles, as training will be provided.
