Ouseburn has wonderful woodlands and wild corners, with paths and steps for everyone to enjoy the area. Join our Environment Volunteer Team to help us protect & enhance our green spaces.
Enjoy fresh air and good company doing varied green space activities in the Ouseburn Valley
- depending on seasonal tasks
- often cutting back hedges,
- clearing paths and steps,
- litter picking
- and other tasks to make the Valley look good.
You’ll work in small groups, with support from a Lead Volunteer or our Environment Project Officer.
Gloves & tools provided. Please wear outdoor-appropriate clothing.

What skills do I need?
You can attend as often as you like, there is no long-term commitment.
Sessions take place:
- Tuesdays 6:30pm – 8pm (April to September only)
- Every Thursday 2pm – 3pm
- Every Saturday 10am – 12pm
Meet at our shipping container behind The Ship Inn (NE1 2NP).
