Do you have financial experience?
Newport Grammar School Charity, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) administered by nine voluntary trustees, is currently seeking a new Trustee to cover the role of Treasurer.
The Charity advances the education of persons under 25 years by providing financial assistance to Island young people in challenging circumstances who have educational aspirations that they find difficult to meet financially.
The tasks of the Treasurer include:
- Maintain financial records and manage bank accounts
- Pay all grants awarded
- Pay all invoices received, once agreed by the Chairman
- Ensure that the Finance Policy is followed, relevant and up to date
- Liaise with all investment companies and other partners (bank/accountants)
- Present reports for quarterly Trustee meetings and AGM to include an up-to-date spreadsheet giving the current financial situation
What skills do I need?
Previous financial experience would be helpful
- You are reliable, honest and trustworthy
- You are organised and a good communicator
- You enjoy working as part of a team
