Newport Grammar School Charity, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) administered by nine voluntary trustees, is currently seeking a new Trustee to cover the role of Secretary.
The Charity advances the education of persons under 25 years by providing financial assistance to Island young people in challenging circumstances who have educational aspirations that they find difficult to meet.
The tasks of the Secretary include:
• Being first contact for all enquiries
• Maintaining our Charity Commission website page including maintenance of Trustee details and circulation lists
• Sharing relevant information received with Trustees
• Ensuring the smooth running and record keeping of the quarterly meetings and AGM with the help of the Chairman including Agendas, Minutes etc
• Preparing reports for quarterly Trustee meetings plus Annual Report for the AGM and Charity Commission
Previous administrative or secretarial experience would be helpful
• You are reliable, honest and trustworthy
• You are organised and a good communicator
• You enjoy working as part of a team
This opportunity has no specific location e.g. can be carried out anywhere.
