This is a rewarding role for a volunteer who would like to support local scouting in a flexible way and by not working directly with young people. If you have an eye for admin, then why not support the growth and development of young people and our leadership team by taking on this vital role within a Scout Group with over 100 years of experience of putting adventure at the heart of everything that we do. The Group Leader will help to make sure that our group is well run, has enough leaders and supporters in each of our section leadership teams and that they have all the things they need to provide an exciting weekly programme to their young people. They also work closely with our group chair and the members of our group board of trustees, so if you like the idea of working in a small, flexible team to get things done to help our scout group be the best it can this is the role for you.
This role is flexible.
What skills do I need?
You do not need a Scouting background for this role – we would like you to have an an interest in working within the movement for a Scout Group that is second to none.
Passion, drive for success and for mentoring young people and adult leadership teams.
