Our charity exists to supply transport to the elderly, disabled and those who suffer from social exclusion and cannot access public transport.

Our volunteer car scheme drivers use their own cars to take people in their local community to the shops or to medical appointments.

All bookings are agreed with you in advance via phone or email, and you receive expenses of 45-50p per mile, with a £5 contribution.

Although the role is aimed at helping others, our volunteers tell us that they really enjoy meeting the wide range of people we serve and it has become a real connection to their community.

What skills do I need?

  • Two years of having held a full driving license
  • Patience and understanding
  • Comfortable working with people over 60 and people of all ages.
  • Good service history for vehicle preferred

Location

This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
