Volunteer Blog Writer

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Volunteer Blog Writer will help raise awareness of Hammersley Homes by researching and writing engaging blog content for our website. The role will focus on producing informative and inspiring articles that highlight the work we do, the issues affecting those living with long-term mental health conditions, and the impact of our services.

Through well-researched and thoughtful writing, the Volunteer Blog Writer will help tell the story of Hammersley Homes, share relevant insights, and support our mission to create understanding and connection within the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

To support Hammersley Homes’ communications and awareness by:

• Researching topics relevant to Hammersley Homes, including mental health, supported living, community connection and wellbeing.
• Writing engaging blog articles for publication on the Hammersley Homes website.
• Helping to raise awareness of the charity’s work, services and impact.
• Contributing ideas for blog topics that align with our mission and activities.
• Ensuring articles are accurate, informative and accessible to a wide audience.
• Working with the communications team to review and refine content where needed.

What skills do I need?

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• A passion for promoting the work of Hammersley Homes and supporting our mission.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• An interest in mental health, community wellbeing or social impact.
• Ability to research topics and present information clearly and engagingly.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely.
• Basic IT skills.
