Tree Celebration Event Lead

We’re planning a Tree Celebration for Jan/Feb 2027 and are looking for a volunteer to help bring it all together. As we’re right at the early planning stage, this is a brilliant opportunity to take an idea and shape it from start to finish, with full support from the PeCAN team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys organising, coordinating people, and creating welcoming community events centred around nature.

What’s involved?

• Liaising with stallholders, speakers and partners
  
• Working with the PeCAN team and other volunteers on planning and logistics
  
• Helping with event administration (emails, simple documents, schedules)
  
• Coordinating volunteers before and during the event
  
• Supporting smooth running on the day, and being a friendly point of contact and helping things flow

You don’t need professional events experience, just enthusiasm, organisation and a love for nature.

There’s no expectation to have all of these skills, they’re simply a guide to the kinds of strengths that can be helpful in this role.
