Community Group Volunteer - Winchester

We need organised and passionate individuals who want to support and facilitate Community Groups for autistic adults in their local community - specifically at our group in Winchester.
Our
groups are designed to help autistic adults to meet in a welcoming and
non-judgmental setting. We need friendly and caring volunteers to make this
happen.
What you will be doing?
Full training for the role will be provided with a three month induction period and then regular quarterly training sessions:
- Welcome new members to the group and help them settle in.
- Support members to participate in group activities.
- Help make suggestions about new group activities.
- Help send feedback about the group to Autism Hampshire staff.
- Keep an accurate record of attendance at the group.
- Report any concerns to Autism Hampshire staff.
Winchester Community Group runs twice a month on a
Sunday from 3pm - 4.30pm.
Whilst we value regular commitment, you will be joining a team, so you
do not need to be available for every session. Please make your availability
known to Autism Hampshire staff when registering your interest.
