  • We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and committed volunteers to support our family team during busy sessions at SNAP. Helping to maintain a safe and non-judgemental environment.  There could also be training opportunities available to expand your knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity and disabilities.

Key Tasks:

  • making refreshments for families 
  • help to create a welcoming environment for families
  • supervision of the children when needed, this could be whilst a family is talking to a member of staff
  • helping clean and tidy equipment and toys away at the end of the session
  • supervise a structured activity - depending on the session
  • supervise key areas in he activity hall, the outside terrace and upstairs area

What skills do I need?

Key skills and personal qualities you will need:
  • to complete DBS check when 16 years and older
  • be polite and have good communication skills
  • be reliable, committed and trustworthy
  • flexibility for certain tasks in the session
  • maintain any concerns or accidents to relevant members of staff
  • follow SNAP's code of conduct and adhere to our policies and procedures

All volunteers must abide by SNAP's Volunteer Guidelines

The training and support you will be given:

  • key information for your role will be provided by the volunteer co-ordinator
  • SNAP information and policies given, including and induction before your session
  • regular communication, in person or via email
  • DBS check, health and safety, and safeguarding training provided
