As a Community Event Volunteer for SNAP, you will play a vital role in supporting various community, corporate and fundraising events. Your involvement will help raise various funds and awareness for SNAP, ensuring that families with children and young people aged 0 to 25 receive the support they need. This ad hoc role primarily involves evening and weekend commitments and offers and excellent opportunity to contribute to the charity's mission in a meaningful way.

Key Tasks:

  • assist with every set up and breakdown, ensuring all materials and displays are arranged efficiently
  • engage with attendees, providing information about SNAP and the support it offers to families
  • support event activities, such as games, raffles or fundraising initiatives, to encourage participants involvement and donations
  • co-ordinate with event organisers and other volunteer to maintain smooth event operations 
  • collect feedback from event participants to help improve future SNAP events. 

What skills do I need?

Key skills and personal qualities you will need:

  • Access to a vehicle
  • happy to be on your fee for extended periods
  • must be aged 16 or over and have photo ID
  • be polite and have good communications skills
  • accept rejections and don't take it personally
  • be reliable, committed and trustworthy
