We are looking for governors to join a high-performing community primary school in our Hounslow Borough. At Heston Primary School they are keenly aware of their responsibility to represent and advocate the kind of society they hope to create for future generations. They believe that Heston students can make powerful, positive contributions towards shaping society, as well as being happy, fulfilled members of society.

They have a clear understanding of what they want their students to achieve, both on an individual basis, and as collective members of a diverse society. The school’s values have been guided by the commitment to nurturing the spiritual, moral, social, cultural, physical and mental development, and therefore the wellbeing, of each individual within the school community. The schools core values represent understanding of what constitutes quality of life and fulfilment for all, as part of a thriving, developing society.

They are looking for local volunteers to join their governing body - in this role, you will offer suggestions and provide oversight on the school’s strategic direction, budgets, and decisions of school leaders, utilising your experience and skills. By doing this, it's a great way to build your skills and networks, and make a worthwhile difference to a school within the Heston community.
