A bit about the role: To cook a nutritious hot meal for the residents using the food resources available.

What will I be doing? The evening meal cook works independently to make nutritious hot meals for the residents using the food resources available and making sure that they kitchen is left in a clean and tidy state after they have finished.

Menu planning will be done in partnership with residents, as a volunteer you will also be able to feed into this. Due to the number of residents that will need to be catered for this volunteering role will be alongside at least one other person. You can volunteer alongside a partner or friend or set up a group of like-minded people, provided they are also registered as a volunteer with Turning Tides or it is a great way to make new friends!

Practical Considerations

  • Living locally to Horsham area or happy to travel (site is located outside of town centre)
  • Parking available on site
  • Times & Commitment: 5:30-8:00pm.
