St John Ambulance is the nation\'s leading First Aid charity. Locally on the Isle of Wight we have cared for our friends, neighbours, colleagues and visitors since 1889. At the heart of our commitment to the Isle of Wight community, are our volunteer first aiders, ambulance crews and health care professionals. Whilst our most visible Volunteer role is that of First Aider, providing medical cover at community events, it is not the only opportunity. With fully supported training volunteers can become emergency ambulance crew. Away from direct patient care, we offer training in roles such as event communications, logistics, youth leadership.
