Comprehensive range of library services inc. free internet and wifi access, DVDs, local history resources, reference materials, booktalk groups, home library delivery- and books! Regular weekly Story and Rhymetime for babies and preschoolers. Occasional children’s activities held in school holidays. Regular exhibitions showcasing local artists. The Essex Record Office Archive Access Point is on the first floor. Complementing the ‘conventional’ library is the unique collection of 18,000 books in the old Town Library and incorporates the Victorian Studies Centre. Art club 3rd Tuesday 15.30-17.00 and Block builders construction club last Saturday of the month 11.00-12.30.
