Volunteering Opportunities with Friends of Bingham Linear Park

We are a group of volunteers who carry out nature conservation tasks on Bingham's local nature reserve known as the Linear Park (as it is along an old railway line). The tasks are as per the management plan that aims to maintain and enhance biodiversity as well as maintain the path for walkers. We remove scrub and small trees, pick up litter, cut back growth over the path and record animals and plants. We carry out activities, usually on the third Sunday of the month as well as hold a committee meeting to discuss plans and actions once a month.
