About

The trust helps fund • music lessons for financially disadvantaged local young people and • inspirational performances to encourage local children to take up instruments No one should be prevented from taking music lessons because their parents can’t afford it, or their school doesn’t inspire them musically. The trust was set up in memory of Cheryl King, a very gifted and popular music teacher. She tragically passed away just before Christmas 2014. Cheryl was committed to providing opportunities for all children to learn about music regardless of their background. The Trust is a registered charity. We are a registered charity staffed by volunteers. With no overheads, 100% of what we raise goes to help and inspire local young people to make music. You can find out more about the trust on its web site at https://cherylkingtrust.org.uk/
