Our Care Philosophy People First, Disability Second is our philosophy with ‘Life is For Living’ our motto. Every individual, whatever their disability, is encouraged to follow their dreams and are supported to be as independent as physically possible. What we do We offer high quality care and accommodation to adults with learning disabilities. Within two models of care, residential and supported living services, we can provide support to meet a number of needs within large or small care packages. Our day service provision is popular amongst Acorn Village residents and tenants but is also used by clients who visit and take part in workshops on a termly basis. Family First Acorn Village only exists due to the families of children with learning disabilities determination to build a brighter future for their loved ones as they became adults. The charity The Charity Volunteering for the charity and financial donations makes such a difference to the lives of adults with learning disabilities. Acorn as a whole only exists due to charitable donations; from the buildings, to the transport, the grounds to activities and additional support.
