Do you enjoy being organised and problem solving or maybe you are a great communicator? Do you have skills you would love to use in a vital volunteering role in your local area? As a tea party group coordinator you enjoy planning monthly tea parties and liaising with volunteers as well as older people. There will fun opportunities to socialise at the event as well as help solve any problems that arise. Each tea party usually last for around two hours and usually take place on a weekend. It will be held in either peoples homes or a venue in the local community at a venue in the town/village or city you wish to volunteer in. Tea parties are a great monthly event that provides a space for likeminded people to get together and help reduce loneliness within their local community. Things you will be doing: - Welcoming and supporting new volunteers into the tea party group so they can start volunteering with confidence. - Welcoming new older guests to the tea party group and contacting them before their first tea party group so that they feel welcome and comfortable. - - Matching older guests to volunteer drivers, so the same drivers collect and drop off the same older guests each month. - Keeping in regular contact with the tea party group older guests and volunteers, and sharing any updates from Re-engage that are relevant to them. - Responding to any issues and queries from the volunteers and older guests in the tea party group. This is a fun, flexible and rewarding role and could use your amazing skills freely! As a valued Re-engage volunteer you’ll receive training, support and regular updates and communication from the Re-engage team. We would love to have you as part of the Re-engage community!
