Trustee

As a Trustee you will part of a team overseeing our policies, strategies and operations helping us continue our work supporting those in need in our community.
It is expected that you would attend the majority of monthly meetings and the annual AGM. Trustee meetings last no more than 2 hours (we generally meet on the second Monday of the month 6-8pm). Meetings discuss operational and strategic matters on a bi-monthly basis.
As well as attending Trustee meetings we would anticipate Trustees will take on ad-hoc activities to support the charity aims.
We are based at Newbury Cricket Club close to the town centre. Trustee meetings are generally held at the Newbury Cricket Club.
What skills do I need?
- Ability to communicate effectively with other trustees, members, and stakeholders.
- Good people skills who can encourage teamwork, problem-solving and decision making.
- A willingness to be proactive in leveraging their own expertise.
- A generosity of spirit and a willingness to ask questions.
- An ability to challenge current thinking in a constructive manner.
- Ability to evaluate and interpret management information and other data/evidence.
- A familiarity with the charity's field of work would be beneficial but not essential.
