At SeeAbility we specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, to realise their goals each and every day. We encourage people with disabilities to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society.

Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility is one of the oldest disability charities in the UK and has pioneered specialist support for over 225 years.

We are looking for Volunteers to drive our 13 seater mini bus for group outings . We are particularly looking for drivers with availability on Wednesday morning s or Tuesday evenings to help the people we support to attend their local clubs and activities

We are also looking for an additional driver to help the tandem club which takes place on a Friday afternoon. There will always be members of staff present supporting the group trips .

What skills do I need?

Good driving skills and current driving licence. Experience of driving a small minibus or similar sized vehicle such as a van or motorhome would be useful but not essential . Drivers need to be aged between 25 and 70 A good sense of humour and love to chat Punctual and reliable Kind, empathetic and friendly Able to deal with information in line with our data protection and confidentiality procedures Able to assist when necessary with sighted guide/orientation (Training will be given)
