The Kitchen volunteer at Banstead community centre plays a key role in supporting the preparation and serving of meals for community members. They assist in the kitchen with tasks such as chopping, sorting ingredients, washing dishes, and ensuring that the space remains tidy and organised.
The volunteer works closely with the chef to ensure smooth operations and helps with food safety practices, including cleaning and sanitising surfaces.
A friendly, approachable attitude is essential as they also interact with visitors and assist with any special dietary requirements or requests. As a volunteer you could work towards a Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
