Are you thinking about volunteering, but can't decide which role is best for you?

Volunteers are a hugely important part of our team. Their skills and their time enable us to give patients and families the outstanding care and support they deserve.

If you have some time on your hands and want to do something really rewarding, volunteering could be for you.

But there are lots of other reasons too.

- You’ll learn new skills which could help you in your role and in everyday life.

- We’ll give you full training and support in your role.

- You’ll be a much valued part of our team

– and have a say in how we’re run.

- You’ll hear about career opportunities within Princess Alice Hospice.

- You’ll have fun and make new friends!

- You’ll gain practical work experience, to help land your first job or a place at university.

Come to one of our ‘Introduction to Volunteering’ sessions, where you can meet the volunteer team and find out more about current volunteering opportunities.

These events last approximately 1-1.5 hours and are held at the Hospice (West End Lane, Esher KT10 8NA).

Upcoming sessions: Wednesday 6 May 2026 6pm Wednesday 3 June 2026 2pm Thursday 16 July 2026 6pm Tuesday 1 September 2026 10.30am Wednesday 14 October 2026 6pm Thursday 19 November 2026 2pm

What skills do I need?

Do you like meeting people?

Are you a good listener?

Maybe you’re a fantastic organiser or someone who loves to get stuck into admin?

We’ve got volunteering opportunities for everyone.

Do you have time to spare? Then you could volunteer with us. Whether you can volunteer for a couple of days each week, month or year we have a role to suit you.

We need people with a wide variety of skills and experience and embrace diversity, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our volunteers.
