Heathrow Special Needs Centre offers a unique opportunity for volunteers to make a real difference by helping individuals with disabilities and special needs participate in informal training programmes focused on horticulture and animal care.
As a volunteer, you’ll assist staff in maintaining the health and wellbeing of the animals, while also supporting the centre's attendees through engaging, hands-on activities. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain valuable experience in social care, education, or animal welfare.
No formal qualifications are required — just a willingness to help and a caring attitude.
What skills do I need?
No qualifications required. Just the following attributes:
- Compassionate and enjoy helping others
- Comfortable working with animals
- Willing to assist with practical, hands-on tasks
- Patient and supportive when working with people with additional needs
- Reliable and able to follow guidance
- Interested in developing experience in social care or animal care.
