We are looking for volunteers to drive Preston Community Transport's accessible minibuses taking groups and individuals on day trips out. 

These trips may be organised by Preston Community Transport to destinations in the North Werst such as; Boundary Mill, Kendel, Chester, Bury Market, Blackpool Illuminations and Manchester Christmas Markets to name a few. Otherwise a local voluntary, community or faith organisation may need transport service users to activities or events such as; Lunch Clubs, Health and wellbeing activities, school trips etc. And as a result will use our vehicles and volunteer drivers to help keep there costs down. 

Full training is provided. 

What skills do I need?

Due to the nature of our not-for-profit transport, passengers usually need extra time and patience and for some of them the trip might be there only outing from there house during that month. Therefore they look forward to it very much meaning we need jolly, engaging and empathetic volunteers.

No previous experience is necessary we are more interested in a sunny personality with a caring approach. 

We do need drivers to hold a MIDAS certificate which we provide training and assessment for, in a one day course (T&C's apply) The certificate is nationally recognised and is portable between organisations and is valid for four years.
