We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic volunteer cook to support our community charity providing a weekly 2-course lunch club for approximately 30 people. The volunteer will receive training and support to be confident and happy to cook the lunch with staff on hand to support where needed.

The cook must have a good understanding of health and safety standards and food hygiene, holding a level 2 food hygiene and safety certificate, or able to complete this shortly.

The lunch club offers a welcoming space for people to enjoy a traditional 2 course meal, for example: Bangers ‘N’ Mash, Chicken roast dinner; fish and chips etc, with a simple dessert. A lot of the ingredients are pre-prepared and you don’t have to peel spuds for 30 people!
The volunteer cook will play an important role in helping to provide for our community lunch club.

• Each week cook a meal and pre-prepared vegan option for approximately 30 people in total.
• Cook and serve meals in a safe and hygienic manner, in accordance with level 2 food hygiene and safety training

• Keep the kitchen and cooking equipment clean, tidy and organised.
• Work alongside other volunteers to ensure the lunch club runs smoothly.
• Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive and friendly atmosphere for everyone attending the lunch club.

**Please check your Junk email folder in case any emails end up here, we will be touch with you within a few days by email. Friendly reminder that the charities/organisations emails may end up here too. **
