As a member of a 4/5 person team you will assist in preparing and cooking a 3 course community meal for approximately 40 people. 

No specific cooking experience is necessary as we will assign tasks you are comfortable with .

A meal is provided for you each time you volunteer. 

About the Organisation:

FoodCycle Portsmouth runs volunteer-powered community meals, reducing food poverty & social isolation by serving tasty, nutritious meals to vulnerable people. Nationally, our incredible volunteers have served +125,000 meals made using over 146,000kg of surplus food.

Process:

What skills do I need?

• Must adhere to health and safety protocols
• Wearing of hairnets and aprons is required
• Hygiene is of upmost importance
• Being flexible and willing to work as a team is important too
• Being calm with a great sense of humour is also helpful
• Before the volunteering session you will need to complete a 10min training video and quick quiz
