Market Drayton Community Amateur Sports Club is a non-profit hub for fitness and wellbeing, offering facilities like a gym, squash courts, boxing room, and pitches for cricket and football. It supports local sports clubs and runs classes for all ages. The club also provides volunteering and work experience opportunities, helping people gain skills and confidence while contributing to the community. 

Join our friendly team to help keep the club’s outdoor spaces looking their best, working alongside other volunteers and club members. 

• General upkeep of gardens and grounds 
• Preparing and maintaining flowerbeds and borders 
• Planting bulbs, shrubs, and seasonal flowers 
• Pruning, weeding, and clearing unwanted growth 
• Sweeping paths and removing leaves in autumn 
• Watering and feeding plants during warmer months 
• Edging beds, raking gravel paths, and tidying outdoor areas

What skills do I need?

Essential skills and qualities: 

• Good level of stamina and physical fitness 
• Awareness of health and safety 
• Friendly attitude and ability to work as part of a team 
• Reliability and willingness to follow guidance 

Desirable skills: 

• An interest in gardening or horticulture 
• Basic knowledge of planting, pruning, or general garden care 
• Creativity for planting and design ideas 

Training and support: 

We’ll provide a full induction, health and safety briefing, and guidance on all tasks. You’ll work alongside other volunteers and club members, so there’s plenty of support and opportunities to learn new skills.
