We at Broxtowe Borough Council have created a community hub along the high street of which supports services that creates change in the area.
Such services currently include Broxtowe's resident housing team, the Green Doctor (reducing energy costs) and the Futures Program (CV writing, contact with employers etc)
What we are lacking however, is a consistent base of volunteers on site to make the residents feel welcome - currently, its true charm is being lost in formality.
A laid back voluntary presence to welcome and greet the locals is what will provide the backbone to the hub.
We are looking for this style of service/drop in once a fortnight.
Ideally a trained health professional - but this is not overly important.
As long as you are open to speaking to people, and willing to help and signpost as and when needed... You'll be the perfect match.

We would like to extend our provision of services by having volunteers on site Mondays (Morning or Afternoons) and Thursdays (Morning or Afternoons)
