Hadrian School are looking for volunteers to assist with the running of our new Café Development (Tommy’s Café). As part of our ‘Dream Big Project’ which involves building a new Hydrotherapy Pool and a Disability Community Resource we have built a Cafe’ in memory of one of our much-loved Governors Tommy Thompson.

As it’s a new venture for us we are still finding our feet in terns of what support we may need, what days, and what the exact activities the volunteers will be involved in, but we would like volunteers to consider helping us with the following:

· Assisting in preparing simple food items such as sandwiches, cakes, (Online Food Hygiene Training will be given)

· Helping to take orders/serve customers

· Helping to stock items such as drinks, confectionery

· Helping to clean the café down after any days where business takes place

· Working with the children on their preparation for life activities (This will involve working with children around the food technology curriculum, cooking with them)

It would be useful if any potential volunteers could specify which days and at which times they may be available and then we can match up the availability of the volunteer with the needs we have

What skills do I need?

• It would be great for any volunteers if you have experience with cooking and customer service as well as working with children but this is not essential.
• Reliable
• Good communication skills
• Team worker
