Shop Assistant
You will be redirected to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Centre website to express your interest.
Shop assistant will operate the till, handle gift aid sales and deal with debit card and cash payments.
If we are to have any quiet days, helping tidying/organising around the warehouse and shop is always a great help.
Assisting customers in finding the products they're looking for.
Our referrals often need more assistance and guidance with their requirements.
Unpacking boxes of donations and preparing items for sale.
Displaying merchandise in our shop areas.
Talking to customers on arrival.
What skills do I need?
Previous shop experience or dealing with the public is useful, with reading and writing skills essential in order to complete simple paperwork.
Any experience of working with people under support may prove valuable too.
Not essential as all training will be provided.
