Visitor welcome and service volunteers are the first point of contact for visitors, providing a warm welcome for everyone, answering any immediate questions, helping visitors to orientate themselves and generally give them the information they need to ensure they have a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable visit. You will assist our visitor welcome and service team in this unique and exciting environment with a rich history behind a Victorian fort defending the Solent against the French and through both World Wars as well as a new build that housed a secret mission leading the way in British space engineering.
You will need to be able to relate to, and communicate with different audiences.
This role will suit someone with a friendly and enthusiastic manner who loves people and has a real ability to make everyone feel at ease, feel welcome, and has the ability to encourage participation as well as turn a hand to all manor of everyday operational tasks.
