Telephone Befriender

As a telephone befriender, you'll provide scheduled phone calls to individuals who may be feeling lonely, isolated or going through difficult life transitions. Your friendly voice, emotional support and ability to listen can make a significant difference in someone's day. This role offers the flexibility of volunteering from home while creating real human connection and offering a reassuring presence to those who need it.

Responsibilities

• Make regular, scheduled calls to individuals in need of companionship or support.
• Engage in friendly, empathetic conversations to reduce feelings of isolation.
• Provide emotional reassurance and a listening ear.
• Signpost to relevant services or support options when appropriate (guidance provided).
