Who Are We?
The Phoenix Stroke Club is a charity based in Horsham, West Sussex that provides support to people who have had a stroke. We provide support to over 50 stroke members every week through our club days and groups.
The Role:
Are you a people person who enjoys helping others? The Phoenix Stroke Club is looking for volunteers to support our Communication Group, which runs every Thursday morning. This friendly and supportive group helps members who have aphasia or other speech and language difficulties caused by stroke. Through fun and meaningful activities, we aim to:
- Improve speech and communication skills
- Build confidence
- Foster friendships and peer support
Can you spare just two hours a week? Whether you have experience or simply a kind heart and a willingness to help, we’d love for you to join us. Come along for a no-pressure taster session and see what it’s all about!
