Volunteer Gardener

The Orchard is home to Basingstoke Voluntary Action and around 15 other charities, all offering services into the community. We are located in a beautiful setting on the edge of Memorial Park and have a garden that can be used by charity groups and a car park that needs to be kept tidy. We have a wonderful volunteer who has a section at our front entrance and another who looks after our pond so we are now looking for a couple more enthusiastic people, for other areas, who can work unsupervised, weeding, grass cutting, and maybe some hedge trimming, brushing paths etc. We only anticipate that this would take a couple of hours a week. We have some basic tools that can be used.
We are open Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm and Saturday morning.
What skills do I need?
You don't need to be a plant expert, just enjoy being outside doing a few garden jobs and physically able to do the tasks.
