If you enjoy driving and want to help people with life-limiting illnesses enjoy the things that matter to them, becoming a volunteer driver could be the perfect role for you.
Time commitment
Flexible, depending on people's needs. Shifts between 9am and 3:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
You will be involved in
- Picking up patients from home and driving them to and from the Francis Sheldon Centre - Mountbatten Hampshire Hospice (West End)
- Talking to patients and engaging with them to make sure they are comfortable and put at ease during their journey
- Being a friendly face and a listening ear

What skills do I need?
You would need to
- Have a clean driving licence
- Drive your own vehicle if appropriate - All expenses paid
- Willingness to pass a driving assessment
- Be DBS checked which we will organise
- Enjoy meeting new people and being part of a team
- Understand confidentiality
