About us 

CMA Connect Fareham helps anyone worried about money or debt to access free, confidential debt advice. Our befrienders are ready to help and support anyone whatever their circumstances, background or faith. After talking with a client to gain all the necessary information, advice will then be obtained from qualified debt advisers working for a well-known national charitable agency called Community Money Advice.

The Role

This is a great opportunity to learn about the debt advice space and to make a real difference in people's life! 

We are transitioning all our IT systems to Microsoft 365, and we need a knowledgeable IT expert to support our volunteers in this transition.

As an IT support volunteers, you will:

• Help us manager client and volunteers communication securely, providing recommendation to balance simplicity and security
• Help our volunteers and trustees connect to our systems securely 
• Train our volunteers on Microsoft 365 and related systems
• Help us source suitable devices if needed
• Keep abreast of relevant updates and changes needed to keep our systems up-to-date

Here at CMA Connect Fareham, we help people in debt to manager their finances. 

Here's how we operate:

• We take the time to talk to them and understand their whole story
• We contact their creditors
• We offer access to free debt advice and budgeting advice

What skills do I need?

You are:

• Highly organised 
• Computer literate (Office suite, Gmail, etc.)
• Personable, an effective communicator, and a great team player
• Respectful of the Christian ethos of the charity
• Able to spend the equivalent of a day a week in the role
