About Us:
Basingstoke Community Radio is a Not For Profit organization dedicated to serving the local community. We provide a platform for local news, events, and a diverse range of music and talk shows, all created by and for the people of Basingstoke. Our volunteers are the heart of our station, and their passion and commitment are essential to our success. We  produce the weekly edition of the Basingstoke talking news, via an online platform for anyone in the community that has a print disability.

About the Role:
As a Talking News Administrator, you play a vital role in keeping local visually impaired residents connected to their community. Responsibilities include organizing recording schedules, managing listener mailing lists, coordinating with volunteer presenters, and ensuring audio files or USB drives are properly distributed each week. This behind-the-scenes administrative support ensures smooth weekly operations so listeners receive their local news, magazine articles, and updates reliably and on time.

Key Responsibilities:
- To get ready all of the audio files required for the weeks edition, and upload them to our shared drop box folder.
- To ensure that all of the weeks audio file share ready for broadcasting.
- collate and place in order the correct files for the weeks edition
- Check, and edit any audio file if required
- Upload to the shared drop box folder
- Inform the talking news uploader volunteer that this files are ready for distribution

This is a non-paid, voluntary position.
Skills Required:
Good Communication Skills: You should be a confident and engaging speaker with a friendly demeanor.
Reliability: A good time keeper.
Technical Aptitude: Basic familiarity with  computers, or a willingness to learn. Training will be provided!
Enthusiasm: A positive and proactive attitude is a must.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
