Squirrel Scout Volunteers

Bringing the ‘Wow!’ to our youngest Scouts, in a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment, the Section Teams make it happen for our Squirrels.
In the Squirrels Team, you’ll be making our 4 to 6 year olds’ eyes light up with wonder on a regular basis.
If you're interested in working in an Early Years setting, this is where you want to be. You’ll work as part of a team to pass on skills for life to our youngest section, while making sure the environment’s safe and keeping everything behind the scenes ticking over.
As a Squirrels Team Member, you might:
- Read a story to the Squirrels
- Build a den in the woods
- Help a small group of Squirrels with an activity
- Update badge records online
- Work as a team to build a great programme of activities
Never been a Scout before? Neither have the Squirrels! Just come along ready for fun; it’s never too late to get involved!
What skills do I need?
The ability to communicate with young children and join in the fun. All training will be provided.
